SEAM ("we") handles the personal information of users of seam.site ("this site"), the website we operate, appropriately and in accordance with the policy below.

- · The answers you give in the Hair Finder and Skin Finder (your selections on hair type, concerns, history and so on)
- · Information needed for a booking (name, reading, phone number, email address, preferred date and time, menu, requested stylist and any requests)
- · What you write in the pre-visit consultation. This can include information about your health — the state of your scalp and skin, whether any product has ever concerned you, and what you tell us about how you feel or any medication
- · The name or signature you give as confirmation of consent, and what you agreed to, with the date and time
- · Treatment records (your chart), and, where you have agreed, photographs before and after
- · Payment information (what you bought, the amount, payment method, card type, the Square transaction number, duty-free records). We never receive or hold the card number itself (Square holds it directly)
- · If you register as a member: your member number, points and visit history
- · If you choose to receive messages on LINE: your LINE user identifier, name and icon
- · Information you give us when you enquire or apply for a role
- · Access information such as logs, device and browser details, and pages viewed (measured in-house, without cookies)
- · An identifier for each device, so the store's reception terminal can keep working (this is not your information)
Where you book through Hot Pepper Beauty or a similar booking site, we receive what is contained in the booking notification that site sends us (name, phone number, menu, amount, requests and so on).

- · To show your Hair Finder and Skin Finder results, and to suggest hair care and services that suit you
- · To contact you about accepting, confirming, changing or cancelling a booking
- · To carry out the treatment safely (whether any product has ever concerned you, the state of your scalp and skin, and what you tell us about how you feel)
- · To record the treatment and suggest for next time
- · For payment, receipts, returns and refunds, duty-free procedures, and bookkeeping
- · To award and redeem member points
- · To respond to enquiries and applications
- · To improve the quality of this site and our services, and to analyse how they are used
Where you write your requests or notes in a language other than Japanese, we may machine-translate them into Japanese so our staff read them correctly. Phone numbers, email addresses and links are removed before anything is sent for translation.
4. Provision to third parties
Except where the law requires it, we do not provide personal information to third parties without the person's consent.
5. Use of external services
This site uses external services: Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, Google Fonts for web font display, Instagram and salon.town for social and booking, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for measuring and optimising advertising. Through the Meta pixel, actions such as viewing a page, completing the Hair Finder or registering as a member are sent to Meta and used to optimise ad delivery (information that directly identifies you, such as your name or contact details, is not sent). With these services, access information may be processed in accordance with each service's own specifications.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our own access measurement on this site uses no cookies and understands usage in a form that does not identify individuals. The Meta pixel used to measure advertising effectiveness, on the other hand, does use cookies (_fbp and similar). You can stop these cookies by choosing "Decline" on the consent banner shown on your first visit, or through your browser settings. Doing so does not affect normal use of this site.
6-2. Contractors, and where data is held
To provide our services, we entrust handling to the following companies. Each handles it only within the scope of our purposes.
- · Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — serving the site, storing booking and payment records, machine translation
- · Block, Inc. (Square / USA) — processing card, e-money and QR payments. Card numbers are held directly by them; we never receive them
- · CUEPON Inc. (salon.town) — linking membership, points and bookings
- · LY Corporation — notifications for those who want them
- · Recruit Co., Ltd. (Hot Pepper Beauty) — bookings made through the booking site
- · Resend, Inc. (USA) — sending booking confirmation and similar emails
Of the above, personal data is transferred to companies located overseas, including in the USA. Each takes measures to protect personal information under the laws of its own country.
6-3. How long we keep it
- · Bookings, treatment records (charts) and member points — five years from your last visit
- · Payment and duty-free records — for the period set by law (seven years, as accounting documents)
- · Photographs before and after — kept only within what you have agreed to, and deleted if you ask us to withdraw them
- · Pre-visit wishes and consent records — for safety checks before treatment, kept for the same period as the chart above
- · Access logs — within one year
Anything past its period, and anything you have asked us to delete, is removed from our records. What sits in backups disappears once that generation is replaced.
7. Security measures
We take the necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss or damage of the information we hold, and to keep it secure otherwise.
8. Requests for disclosure, correction or suspension of use
For requests to disclose, correct, delete or suspend use of your own personal information, please contact us at the address above. We will verify your identity and respond in accordance with the law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy as needed. Any change takes effect from the moment it is published on this site.
